No. I have talked directly to Ed Allred, the owner of the race track, and he said he has no plans to sell the race track. Ed Allred issued the following public statement in August 2018: "There are no intentions for Los Alamitos Race Course to be developed and this venue will remain a racetrack. There could be some development on the land surrounding Los Alamitos Race Course, but this in no way will impact the year-round racing operation. My passion is for horse racing to be held at Los Alamitos Race Course and this will always be true."

Look it's surroundings developments are being made as condos home surrounding the track...sooner or later people will start to complain about flies and smell of the track ...plus the track is not well cared for as it should be...with it's multi millionaire business track should be much much nicer all the way around!*...alred doesn't care to make it look nice like..(..santa Anita..).because he knows sooner or later this track will be knocked down for further construction....plus alred is a 80 yr old man, now everybody knows when the head of operations in any business dies trust me they will sell or close business and thats a fact !"!"....

They just purchased 65 new flat screen TV's and refurbished the vessel club upstairs .The SPORTS lounge downstairs is also brand new (pool tables/fuul bar / juke box ) If they are investing $$$' they"re not closing it soon. There is also a rumor circulating among the regulars that they will soon be accepting SPORTS WAGERING in the new sports bar .Sports betting was recently decriminalized nationwide. It opens AT 9:30 AM daily.
