I had a wonderful experience with my friend bidding at the races. Making bets about 45 minutes between races, eating nachos and Nathan's hot dogs, and drinking beer made time fly by so fast. They have an indoor and outdoor section, as well as smoking sections for the smokers. Free parking for the handicap and regular parking in the back. They also have preferred parking in front for $5. There's a sign posted stating no coolers, food, beverages (except probably bottled water), or intoxication allowed. Entry cost $3. Re-entry allowed with stamp. They charge a small fee for programs and tips, which are useful for making bets. Bring cash to make bids.

Many, many great memories and experiences at Los Al over the past 40 years. The facility has changed a lot over time and horse racing has sadly declined a great deal in So Ca. Hollywood Park is gone. Del Mar isn't the cozy little track that it once was. Frank Stronach defaced Santa Anita. So I very much enjoy the vibe that I still feel at Los Alamitos.

Truly enjoy the visiting the los Alamitos race course to watch the 1/4 mile horses race. Very exciting, organized, clean, safe and always entertaining! Eating at the vessel club is always a pleasure as well. Good service, tasty food and beautiful sunsets overlooking the well manicured race track.

Looking for something fun to do? This place offers entertaining horse races, betting, food & drinks, all while maintaining plenty of social distancing. You won't find high prices or pretentious people here, but you will surely have a great time. I usually don't have luck with any form of gambling, but the environment here makes you feel like a winner. If available, I recommend reserving a place in Vessels. It's a swanky part of the track with some interesting pieces of history. The menu has something for everyone and the views are top-notch.

No. I have talked directly to Ed Allred, the owner of the race track, and he said he has no plans to sell the race track. Ed Allred issued the following public statement in August 2018: "There are no intentions for Los Alamitos Race Course to be developed and this venue will remain a racetrack. There could be some development on the land surrounding Los Alamitos Race Course, but this in no way will impact the year-round racing operation. My passion is for horse racing to be held at Los Alamitos Race Course and this will always be true."
Hi Melissa, Thank you for the nice comment.
Another way is if you have a tvg account, you can set up horse in my stable, and you will be emailed when the horse runs
