Most of the time you should be able to go a little sooner.

They are asking people to make an online reservation and are breaking up the crowds into a few staggered entry times. We went slightly earlier than our designated times and no problem

Yes you can

Just a way for them to control how many guests enter, but you do not have to be there at the "exact" time you reserve.

It helps keep the park less crowded. It's great when you can see all the animals up close w/out waiting on a crowd. Makes your trip more efficient & delightful. You can be in & out within 2 hours or less if you go at the time you reserved.

To stagger crowds but you can ho earlier or later I found the dont pay much attention to it.

We bought our tickets on site with no reservation and were in the zoo in less than ten minutes! It was a Monday about 11 am! Probably depends on day and time of day!
