Not a "shack" per day. Top shelf food, friendly service. Owner is there 99% of the time insuring quality food and service.
Not since the 80s and it wasn't a fooderry then... Its just a name... It was a shack but not anymore it's a great bbq place with Texas style smoked meats.. i highly suggest the brisket with the hot bbq sauce. Don't be a pansy go check it out. The Dickey's out here blows if you go to main Street there's some decent places but Jack's is the best southern BBQ in so cal
No it used to be a house once owned by long time Lake Elsinore resident Fredie Stokes and the one time location of the only marine gas pumps on the lake
Building but it's split-level upper level is the restaurant very helpful staff and very good food

sure it s.. just a little shack by the lake. not like the big boys with all the fancy dressing and trim... were are a hometown little shack... the stokes family has been in too.. they owned it for years.. the place was the original store way back and many other things before the stokes had it.. did you know it was even a pool hall ? yup...
