They are expensive, but tbh this is the one place in the LA area I'd feel confident bringing my rats because others are really inexperienced. You can also check with an organization called RedRover.org for a surgical grant to have her mass removed. They give financial assistance for any species. If you happen to have ties in the Bay Area, Adobe Animal Hospital is affordable and more experienced than places in LA.
This vet accepts scratch pay (a loan) if you qualify, but if not I don't know how much they can help. Unfortunately rats can be pricey for how small they are. :( Good luck!
Unfortunately all vets are expensive!...and the only option given to you is to apply for certain loan companies. I know it's not much especially when you already can't afford to pay, let alone be stuck with a payment. Wish vets weren't so much about the money and more about HELPING in any possible way to our furry companions that are like FAMILY. If anything you can try doing a Gofundme...wish you the best!!!
