The best exotics vet practice in L.A. I take all my bunnies to Dr. Kanfer and she is truly amazing! I'm so grateful for her and her entire staff. Exotics vets are expensive but you get what you pay for here. You can trust them completely.

i had an appointment a year ago for my chinchilla for the first time and michael and holly richards were amazing helping my sabrina out. Very professional and easy to talk to would definitely come again for her annual check ups. prices were also reasonable.

Extremely disappointed with their service. They suggested I pay for expensive lab testing for which the results were received about 10 days later. They knew it was critical that those results were received right away to insure the proper medication was prescribed. I called every day for the results to no avail. They knew time was of the essence. Now, that the results have been received nobody calls me back or answers my calls. I finally got through when I called from a different number and nobody was available to speak with me, and still no call back from a vet, tech or office manager. As a result my beloved pet is now dead and I am down $1,000 and I still don’t know what caused it. Extremely disappointed and will not recommend this place to anyone. As a result of their negligence my beautiful pet is dead.

YES, much more expensive than other vets. 4 instead of 5 stars only because of the high rates. Dr. Richards and the techs are great with taking care of my bunny. Can't thank them enough.

It’s $99 for a checkup :) totally worth it they are so nice 💖
Yes they do
You should call them! The staff is friendly
They do and it's about $128
I would agree with Amy. They are a little bit pricey but they do take care of your little pet. When I went I paid $100 for the check up and then $200 for the medicine, vitamine shots, and extra things my chinchilla needed. Good thing is that before they do anything to your little pet they will go over your options/treatments and let you decide if its what you can afford. One of my options was xrays and lab test, whcih was going to cost me about $600 plus the cost of the consultation. But I opted for the medication and vitamine shots only option, whcih was affordable for me. After my visit they called me a couple weeks later to check up on my little guy. I would recommend this place for sure.
Yes, you can take your bearded dragon there. Great place.
Yep. Snakes, lizards, chickens, pigs, rabbits, turtles, wild animals and more. When it comes to exotic animals, not a common dog or cat, they are the best experts when it comes to caring for your beloved pets.
Yes
They basically see everything except dogs and cats. Ferrets are in their repertoire.
There are vaccine clinics which would probably cost a lot less
Yeah, I've actually seen chickens a few times I've been there. I'd give them a call.
I'm not sure. It's best to call then for the price since they may change per animal
I don't know about bunnies. I paid $110 for a regular check up on my guinea pig.
Probably. They will see most anything
Im not sure if they do that specific turtle but you can call and ask. I have a bunny and I have seen pigs and other exotics. I think it depends on the animal
I would call and ask specific pricing. They'll have a cost for the basic visit and then it depends what you're going in for. They're very friendly and will give you as much info as they can!
Yes they do and it's between 450-700.
They have a reptile vet on staff, but I don't know if he works every day.
Yes but I was very disappointed at how disorganized their office is. And they really push/upset and way more expensive than some other great places in Irvine. Like Pet Points Hospital Dr. Hsu is SUPERB! Might be a little far, but well worth it and exam is only $70. Exotic charges $125-$150 for just an exam!
They are great. I've been taking my budgie there for 5 years. All the staff members are nice and patient.
$100 at least. But it is worth it. They qre very good.
They do, just be prepared for that bill $$$
They are expensive, but tbh this is the one place in the LA area I'd feel confident bringing my rats because others are really inexperienced. You can also check with an organization called RedRover.org for a surgical grant to have her mass removed. They give financial assistance for any species. If you happen to have ties in the Bay Area, Adobe Animal Hospital is affordable and more experienced than places in LA.
This is a specialty clinic for exotic pets. They are wonderful and very knowledgeable. That said it is not inexpensive. Ask when you book the appointment for information about possible costs
Let them know at the desk you are on a budget. The bird needs care and they will help
Very competent outfit. Yes on the LG. Ask vet about routine check-up which will probably depend on your LG's age snd and health
Yes.
Yes.
Depends on the animal and how much you want to spend. You'll need to call the vet hospital directly to get a price on services, but they'll probably want to see the animal before offering you your options.
Yes, they do.
BEWARE! All or ANY procedures any associated MEDS are Overly and Extremely EXPENSIVE period. BEWARE! Customer retention is not there goal. Gouging and predatory business practices are their primary goal. BEWARE!
They've helped us with our tortoises, box turtle, and bearded dragon, so I think it's a safe bet they could help you with your leopard gecko.
What kind our snake?
Yes, they will see ferrets. It's the hospital's job to help you take good care of your pet, not rat you out for an illegal animal.
Not sure give them a call
Around the range of $70-80?
$90, or $140 for emergency visit, I believe. They're usually available for same day appointments on weekdays. I would just call and ask.
I don't know I never took a parakeet there I did take a chicken .I had her euthanized and it was $150 I doubt if they are very cheap but they do know their stuff and if you want your animal to be cared for properly they're probably a very good place to go
They will take care of your reptile. Give them a call first.good luck
They knew about Chickens, so I am sure they can treat your Bird
I would think yes but call them first because they may have specialist that comes in on certain days.
Yes, that do all sorts of procedures on rabbits. I'd call them for pricing and appointments. You can also schedule appointments on their website.
I believe they do. Call them to verify
Yes, and the general exam alone is something like $60-$80. From personal experience, I can tell you that the best time to take your turtle or tortoise to the vet is when you suspect that something might be off. By the time it is obvious that they are sick, they are suuuuper sick and there will be drama.
Okay thank you
They do adoptions thru Dr. Ks charity but they wont do ferrets as they are illegal to own in California.
