Ive never reserved at Dargans. Small groups are usually seated quickly or just grab a table in the bar area.
Yes, but not usually needed unless it is a large group. Call and ask them based on your situation if your actually need one or not. For a party if 2, I have been there when extremely crowded and didn't wait.

I have eaten there dozens of times (Ventura Location) and never had an issue getting a table in a reasonable period of time (10-15 min) weekends included. Enjoy, have fun.
Yes they do take reservations. And I have never experienced "bad management" issues....
