There a few birds in the open areas. Mostly near the flamingos because food is offered there. Not so many that you constantly have them around. You can easily avoid them if wanted. You can easily find them if wanted. Happy either way. Probably more in warmer weather. Enjoy!!!
The others have answered your question. I would just like to add that it's on the smaller side, but definitely worth your time to visit. It's a relaxing venue.
There is an aviary we're all of the birds that are in there are rescued so they have been injured in the past, there safe to be around. The peacocks walk around the property. We brought our 7 month old and we didn't have a problem, also you could feed the flamingos.
Dogs on a leash
Peacocks and white Ibis walk around freely
The birds and peacocks are everywhere and you can walk with them! In the aviary, you can get an even closer encounter with them by feeding them pellets provided in mini depensers for 25 cents a handful!
There are a lot of peacocks and other birds that walk around freely.
You can walk through the aviatory with several bird species roaming freely, but most of the other animals are in exhibits.
