I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The only place I know of where you can feed the flamingos. For a buck you get a bag and they will even eat it out of your hand. They a black bear, panther, alligator and a great place to watch the otters above and below the water. There is a historic house to visit where the interior has stopped in time. Don't miss to take the guided tour tram of the property. I had Mike who was very informative. I would recommend checking this place out.

Flamingo gardens is one of my favorite places, we visit every time we are in South Florida. Not only is it a beautiful little zoo and a fun place to spend a few hours, they also do so much to rehabilitate wild animals and educate the public. It feels really good spending my money here :) My 6 year old daughter loves it here as much as I do. She especially likes feeding the birds, the tram tours, the French fries, the pressed pennies in the gift shop, the wildlife shows, going inside the giant banyan tree, the wooden cutout photo-ops, and the many cats and peacocks that roam the property.

This place is incredible and the staff is amazing! We visited from Michigan and happened to stumble across this place on one of our last days in the area. It was cool and rainy, but that didn't stop us! We had the whole place to ourselves, and even got a private tour through that back half of the grounds - even saw the elusive Soft Shell turtle! The variety of fauna and flora was awesome - especially the birds! But ... Make sure you check out the otters, super cute and entertaining!

This place is super cool. All donation based and relatively cheap for admission. The peacocks are just free roaming so you can get as close as you want to them. As well as the iguanas and the lizards. The trolly ride is free and very cool. The show was also cool. I would definitely come here again, it seems like they do care for the animals unlike some zoos.

If you want to see very large alligators (no wrestling), just alligators, go to Holiday Park. If u have little kids don't go right up on the walkway near the water unless you're holding them. The alligators come pretty close. They even serve alligator if u want to try it. They used to have alligator wrestling at the Indian Reservation but I don't know if they still do.
It's just a place to see a natural scene. Not a hotel or bed and breakfast.
You can call them and asked..if not they can direct you to someone who will. Ask for Mike or Laura
Not at the facility, so make other srrangements. The park is VERY worthwhile, especially now. They've got a really cool exhibit going on. Sculpture from repurposed items, shoes, tarps, plastic, all pickep up as brach trash.
As per Flamingo Park website: "No outside food is permitted within the park, but you may eat at the picnic tables located outside of the entrance." There may be additional restrictions due to the current omicron pandemic surge. Call Flamingo Park and ask.
Yes speak to Mike

We love dogs but because we are a wildlife sanctuary with injured animals present, only Service Dogs are allowed. Comfort or Emotional Support dogs and pets are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
Typically guests spend between 2-3 hours for the normal garden attractions. Plan for more time if you're visiting for a special event if you want to visit the attractions of the gardens AND do the special event activities. We recommend coming early in the day to see more animal activity as most animals nap during the hottest portion of the day.
Kids age 2-6 will love it! We have 95 species of birds and animals in our wildlife sanctuary, including a huge Aviary birds from all 5 ecosystems of the Everglades plus otters, panther, bobcats, a black bear, gators, lots of tortoises and turtles and flamingos. They especially will love the many, many free roaming wild peacocks. We have wildlife encounters shows at 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm and a Narrated Tram Tour every hour. We are not a zoo, but a wildlife sanctuary so all our animals and birds are rescues, either permanently injured or non-releasable, so it is educational for children as well. Come early in the morning to see more activity from the animals, or plan for the otter feeding at 2:30pm.
Just left they are open all weekend
No they do not.
There is day parking for buses, RVs and other big vehicles in the overflow lot. Parking for an RV is easy during the weekday, but it can be crowded on weekends especially in the winter season or if there is a special event going on.

Groupon doesn't always give you the best deal. On the Flamingo gardens' website, if you scroll down the page with tickets admission, you can find a link with general admission discount coupon, which gives you $2 off. Hope this helps.

They are not a nursery. There is a concession on the property that sells plants and statuary. I don't think I've ever seen rue sold anywhere locally. You may have to start from seed.
Best to take 595 east us1 south to Dania beach Blvd east total time from flamingo gardens 45 minutes
What is the bus #? I have not seen any bus route signs.
No There can be several reasons why dogs are not allowed..1. Much of the wildlife roams around uncaged..2. It's hard enough to walk there when it's busy with hundreds of people..and 3. Keeping the place clean from pet waste would be a challenge.
Yes
If you are interested in wildlife it is an enjoyable experience. Flamingo Gardens is stocked with rescued animals, according to one of the handlers. We walked through the park for two hours and the time passed quickly.
I went on a trip from the school and the aunt said that the animals could not be touched
Hi, I would think that since the park closes at 5, they may not allow people in past a certain time so that everyone will be out by closing. However, you always want to call the park to ensure what they will do. You should check with them to see whether if you are already in the park, will you have to leave at 5 or is it just that they don't allow anybody in really close to 5 p.m. Hope that helps! Please check with the source on that one.
