Not sure if is allowed but there is plenty of space to do it, just don't camp near the lake, there is warning signs for alligators, snakes and other wild creatures.
It's a big park and its depending on your event, you can have your tent to sleep at night... I used to see event like that before over there.
Yes there is a spot specifically for tents.
