This park use to be beautiful before the hurricane. Lots of shade for walking. As of 6/23/22 during the park is not being well kept. And there appears to be some homeless people loving in their car in the parking lot. Visited this morning 8/29/22 and this park truly needs so love. Same condition now more homeless people sleeping in vehicles in the parking lot and there was appeared to be a homeless at one of the pavilion with just his boxer only. He was bathing and had his clothes hanging and drying out on picnic bench. I informed a park employee who had just drove up in the Park truck. I left the park and will not be going back. It's a shame, such a sad scene. Park could have great potential.

Went to this park to do some geocaching but ended up making a couple of new friends instead. Very nice park. The whole park is shaded by the trees with a nice trail to exercise and a nice dog park

READ UPDATE BELOW: I visited this park about a month ago. I wasn't too impressed. There are far too many tall trees that have grown very close together and the landscape looks unkepted. The park looked dark and gloomy. Leaves were everywhere, doesn't look like the pictures. It looks more like the deep woods. I wouldn't feel safe walking alone in this park day or night. Too many isolated areas with a lot of bushery growing around. Even the picnic tables doesn't look inviting but this is my opinion. See for yourself. UPDATE: 8/9/22 LADIES BEWARE!!! I’m at this park at the moment of this update. A man just entered the ladies restroom while I was inside! Thank God I was on my way out, he scared me so bad I screamed. He apologized and went into the mens room next door but I believed he saw me go inside and followed me. I threaten to call the police and he left the park. Minutes later a park employee arrived and I informed him of what happened, he told me that this man have done this before and they are investigating and trying to catch him. The appearance of the park has improved a little, better upkeep now.

A little less than a mile
I can be wrong, but it seems that the path is 1/2 mile.
No, Markham park in Weston is a nice area for camping, also Oleta state park in Miami.
No you can not. The park is too near FLL airport according to FAA regulations.
