The staff here is amazing so far.. but the food. Wow. You want these people to starve or what???? I wouldn't want to come back for a long stay, just for that reason! It's jail food!

Hospital food is always terrible. At Kaiser for a week was so bad we told them stop bringing it in and the family will take care of it. At Valley near the kitchen smells so bad from the "eggs". Dennies uses a lot of eggs, buy it never smells like that.

Sanford Hospital in Fargo North Dakota has excellent food!!! You are given a menu with various diets to call in whenever you are hungry and whatever time you choose. Breakfast I chose biscuits and gravy with 2 fried eggs sausage, toast, 2 milks, coffee and juice. Lunch I chose a spinach salad with strawberries and vegetables and a wonderful sauce. If you are still hungry you can continue to order whatever and whenever you want.

Try Regional. They have the best food ever there. I was a patient there Last week and when I told the nurse I am a vegetarian, they brought the chef in for a consultation with me! I got a lovely tofu and veggie mix, Indian food, etc. Valley med doesn't care I told the i don't eat meat about 10 times, but every meal came back as if i never did anything to them. Very unhealthy, especially for a hospital!for a hospital

@myithz Myithz May I know, How much did you paid in five days in the hospital?, my mom is in that hospital, and she entered on Tuesday at night, and she is going to go home at sunday, and i am worried about the payment :(

I was there for 5 days, and while they had me on a Renal diet... ya, the food was awful. Everything tastes the same. Kind of like eating an MRE. Until I was put on a regular diet, the day before my last day. I had waffles with real butter and syrup, rice crispy cereal, and a few other items that were actually delicious. I had a piece of cheesecake for desert that night which was fantastic. I even asked if I could have another slice. If you have any IV drips in you, especially saline... the food WILL taste horrible.

Well if you know what jail good is like... Then you should look at it this way.... At least it just tastes like jail good.. Feel blessed that it actually isn't! I also agree that the staff is awesome.. Long wait in the waiting room at times.. But worth the wait with the great care you receive after
