The shelter does offer assistance with humane euthanasia in emergency situations.. You would have to contact them to explain the situation and set an appointment
If there is nothing medically wrong with the kitty you should NOT put it to sleep. If it's healthy, surrender it for adoption or offer to someone on Craigslist.
