Yes the department of social services (DSS), can help you. All depends on which county you end up moving to. Also you must not have any open cases any where else. DSS helps with temporary housing, they also help with food stamps to buy food. Once you get a place they may help with your security and or first months rent. They can also help you seek employment.
Well if you're unemployed right now and you're in the process of contemplating that move I would say apply for unemployment unemployment can be transferred from one state to the other so that would definitely hold you if you had already possibilities of a job up here otherwise I don't know if Department of Social Service would necessarily help you there you would have to I believe you would have to become a resident first
