Yes but, is not as bad Hillsborough river where you trip on them if you don't look carefully. I've seen them only once by the boardwalk.
They roam freely, so probably.

They are more afraid of you than you are of them. I have a radio control boat I use in the lake and the gators will avoid it. Granted it goes 60+ mph but I think its just the movement and noise that makes them go away.
