Very serene looking over Lake Tarpon. Boardwalk along the water is a nice, pleasant and peaceful walk. Great place to bbq right on the waters edge with picnic tables and grills in your own secluded area. Ample parking, dog run and play area, plenty of fishing areas and a nice boat launch area as well. Lots of picnic tables that are covered by sheltered structures for staying cool. Take Caution that Swimming is Not Recommended here though due to the amount of alligators that live in Lake Tarpon, some of which are very large in stature. The homes that surround the lake are absolutely beautiful and you can see the Tarpon Turtle from across the water. Could have spent an entire day here. Beautiful old established trees and foliage make for plenty of shaded areas to stay cool. Nice place to walk your pets. Saw a small baby gator and alot of wildlife from the boardwalk. There were a few boaters enjoying this beautiful summer day with family and friends. Great place for a family outing. Very peaceful setting. Next time we will have to come back with a boat 😆.

Wow! What an amazing place. Following the nature trail, you can find native Florida flora and fauna. The park is rather large with lots of areas to explore. Many shaded areas to get out of the heat. The playground is phenomenal! Shelters with a ton of seating. Family and pet friendly. There's a boat ramp here and you can go fishing. Come see for yourself how great this park is!

My dogs and I have been going to the dog park here since they were puppies. They're currently 4 years old and 3 years old. Large fenced area for big dogs and small dogs with lots of shade, benches, and refillable water bowls. We always enjoy our visits

This is a wonderful place to go fishing, walking & spending time with family. Great boat launch for midsize boats and pontoon boats. Nature trails and cooking sites are well organized and well kept. Dogs are allowed if kept on a leash and there is lots of great shade provided by the trees.

Fresh water fish catfish, bass, blue gill, bream
You Can lauch 4 boats at a time
Have to agree with the other answers. Just take home EVERYTHING you bring in. Might give thought to asking one of the park attendants before you actually go to the trouble of getting set up though.

Plan for your family or organization to enjoy the outdoors at a Pinellas County park! From beautiful beaches to the cool oasis of a natural pine forest, your next event can be surrounded by the natural beauty of Pinellas County any time of the year. Covered shelters are great for any celebration or occasion.
I believe so. I think I saw someone fishing. Check Anderson Park's website.
Yes.
I think you have to go to the park's website to officially reserve a shelter and pay. If you unofficially want it and it isn't reserved, then it is first come, 1st served.
no but u can take it to the city dump off 114th for $10 a truck load
I didn't see any when I was there. But I wasn't looking for them. Sorry
Completely free. Just dont plan on using restrooms unless it's a weekend. Only the restrooms at boat dock are open during the week.
I wouldn't think so...
Yes, with a state license
The weekends are always busy! Depending on weather. But it is beautiful there! Really not sure. I go for the beach and hiking!
Hi Kelly. I visited the park yesterday and yes you can fish there and there were a lot of guys fishing there from the seawall and on their boats. In fact it is one of the big fishing spots around here and they have a number of tournaments there during the year. People fish oil over the lake. I do thank you for your reply! Have a great day!!! 😎
Usually upset sun up to sundown...
If i remember correctly, all the public parks in Pinellas county were closed on Thanksgiving last year.
Yes but, is not as bad Hillsborough river where you trip on them if you don't look carefully. I've seen them only once by the boardwalk.
Can you?...Yes. Should you....No!.....Unless you have no fear of alligators! Last year, they pulled a 11 ft CROCODILE out of Lake Tarpon!
Yes
I believe you have to have a fishing license. Wal-Mart sells them, you can ask them to be sure.
Walked the trails. There is a dog park and boat access dock. Didnt see a beach just sea walls.
It depends on day of the week. Weekends cost more. You have to contact parks and recreation. Ask for Chris Pratt.
There isnt a designated swimming area or beach. Used to swim and ski on Lake Tarpon, many alligators and cotton mouths near the banks. Not likely to attack, but it's a chance you take.
Anderson Park IS a Pinellas County Park (I BELIEVE). I have seen County trucks & they administer the boat ramp. /// /// THERE IS a phone # to rent shelters (# ??). I don't know if renting a shelter is prerequisite to setting up a bounce house. /// /// There are no campsites, so like someone else said, açcess to electricity may be an issue.
Great place to bring a dog. Except for the dog run I think leashes are required.
The park closes at dawn, however the boat ramp is still open and accessible
