There isnt a designated swimming area or beach. Used to swim and ski on Lake Tarpon, many alligators and cotton mouths near the banks. Not likely to attack, but it's a chance you take.
I don't recommend it.
If you are looking for a Darwin award I would highly recommend this unique opportunity.

Tarpon Lake at Anderson parks has alligators. Your choice.
Go to Anclote Park. Nice swimming area there. Or Fred Howard Park.
Not sure, but I wouldn't if you can. Go to a spring or the ocean to swim.
