I've heard lotta stuff like your situation from girls there but this stuff i'm talking about is real criminal, not just civil. Hope it works out for you!
This is kinda true to be honest. There are a few MALE counselors who are creepy IF you know how to spot it. Without naming names for i still have two friends in this ptogram, the guy who looks like hes Ice-T's drugged out, geriatric, older brother has GOT TO BE AVOIDED if you are female. Although who knows, maybe if you're a guy too! This guy and another I've encountered really epitomize the term "sleezy professional" - par instantly lost credibility within my mind after meeting these two weirdos. Stay clear, ladies. And if need be, there are other more reputable programs in Tampa area- i found out after i left par. Yeah uhh i dont think its just the females who are sought after. Uh I've had an improper subtle advance from a male counselor there too. My understanding is that par drug treatment facilities in general have a reputation for letting some unprofessional, shady types 9f counselors work undertheir watch. There is a website stating how from upper management down to counselors it us all about money/power and nothing else(look up op par employee reviews, etc). Anyways Amanda, i am genuinely sorry that you TOO had to bare the burden of an employee using his position of power outside of the realm of his job's duties. NO counseling position in ANY profession entails using that power to deviate toward the corrupt counselor's intimate yearnings or fantasies. I hope you follow through with some form of legal closure and find peace.
Omg like totally! There is this one kinda senior, old black guy with long hair and glasses, that resembles a shopworn Ice-t from "law n order". This guy has serious like issues. I swear to god i hope he doesn't treat or discuss the same way hedid with me as all the other girls who've been here. This guy is like using his position to take advantage of us or relive a fantasy or something. I know its not just me, no way. He needs to be either repremanded, fired or sued. Gosh what a wierd first discussion i had with him. I wont elaborate but his convo turns to wierd, personal stuff. Some of the other girls there told me to stay away from him cause he's got like ulterior motives and things. Good luck girls and beware of this creep if you go. Yeah but just so all the ladies know, it aint even just girls the some the counselor look at. I had a counselor there who kept turning our convo into somethin I wasnt looking for and I could tell he was reaching past what he was supposed to be saying and doing it slowly, like fishing, to see if I'd bite at first. I guess dude didn't get my drift cause he attempted to "throw a line" like 4 or 5 times after that and probably was preying I'd take the bait cause I must of been some type he likes. This guy was definitely using his job to get at us, or at least dudes like me- young and got looks to catch lotta girls. I just let it go cause I wanted to get the entire thing over with and be clean, sober and free of my ball n chain. But yeah I hope this freak and those like him in this profession get what they got coming!

Oh girl for real they are like that there. This one old guy with ponytail is not someone I'd want to be alone with outside of the facility. Hes not only one. I heard turning point in Tampa is so much better than Par. Youcan try ACTS in tampa I've been there and their people are so much better at there work and i know they want you to succeed.
Ive heard this from several of the girls i met while there. Have you tried cascade or ACTS in tampa? Never heard a complaint from any women while i was in Tampa. Another place is 7 pathways or something like that, but ive only heard great stuff about them. Good luck and hope you find better, more professional treatment somewhere else!!
Thats kinda weird. Ive been here three years without an iota of suspicion of that. Admittedly, some of the men are actually fairly young and attractive. They might just be expecting to be hit on. I dont know. I just dont see any type of dangerous, threatening, Lustful behavior here at all.

I heard from other girls who've also been here that there are two or three much better in Tampa or Bradenton. I had a difficult time also with a male counselor. I highly advise Acts
There is a place called cascade in Tampa where everyone is treated with respect from what i remember. PAR definitely has an unsavory character or two. I say do your homework 1st- ask around n find out beforehand.
