I, for one, have never had any issues with PAR but I'm not in the Detox part but I have been there for over 6 years. Its pretty cheap replacing one addiction with a "legal" one ad long as you have money or insurance

I have a loved one who came to this location for detox and decided to continue with their inpatient program. The staff here are incredibly professional people who truly care about their patients, especially if you show them that you are serious about your recovery. They take excellent care of you and will go above and beyond to help you stay in recovery. With any addiction, at the end of the day it's really up to the addict to choose to stay clean, but this program and these people are a tremendous help .I truly believe that they are the reason we have gotten such great results so far in our journey to sobriety. I can't thank them enough for giving me back my Love. These people save lives!

Place was really nice. Staff was super nice, accommodating, and actually cared. Food and bedrooms were great. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is they really need to work on their organization. It was sometimes very difficult to get answers to simple questions or somethings would take too long to accomplish for such a short stay. I would highly recommend opting for the extra 2 weeks of residential out-patient since you get a lot more out of it and it gives you time to look for something more long term(if that is your plan bring it up day 1 to get your name on waiting lists) and also get the Vivitrol shot(curbs opiate and alcohol cravings GREATLY, once a month shot, generally free if you don't have insurance, first shot always free). This place definitely helped me. Better and safer than detoxing at home because they will give you meds to help you through it.

I went to PAR Detox and they brought me back so to speak of. Given with what they have, they do the best that they can. I was referred to PAR Maps, in which I chose methadone therapy. It stopped my using immediately and now I have my life back. I have learned that if you do not have sobriety, and have placed SOBRIETY AS THE FIRST AND FOREMOST THING IN YOUR LIFE, you have nothing else. It is critical to be sober before anything else can happen in good ways

For real!! But that is just the tip of the iceberg, cuz they got one here who is known to deal with d-boys in south st. pete. Uses his job as cover and to remain inconspicuous...but lotta people know what he's doing and it'll eventually catch up to him and PAR. I've heard lotta stuff like your situation from girls there but this stuff i'm talking about is real criminal, not just civil. Hope it works out for you!
I'm sure some girls- and more than likely guys too LOL- have already filed some sort of grievance/civil action against at least a few of the dudes working here. No doubt in my mind. None. I KNOW what you went through ive heard n seen it all from so many who were there with me. Get a lawyer!
p
Well some of their counselors DO HAVE connections with drug dealers, connections they got FROM intakes!!! Read between the lines n ask around town if you dont bdlieve me!
Make sure she only speaks with female counselor. I had long convo with this one guy here and he seriously tried to ruin my credibility and life here! His coworkers were all complicit in his deceitful, unethical, unprofessional web he created and didn't say or do anything after i found out he was using my info against me by spinning it his way for his own, selfish self gain. Be careful!
Pack some mace and a taser to protect yourself from the unwanted advances of a few of the counselors here! Yes im serious! And I KNOW youre a guy- based off what i've seen n heard they don't discriminate!!!
You are pretty, i wouldn't go here. There are other more reputable places in Tampa area WITHOUT the sleazy male counselors you will meet here. ✌️
They should be closed PERMANENTLY!! They have a counselor who does deals with drug dealers he met through intakes here, and trys to do case study on a guy that didn't even solicit PAR's help. The dude isn't even an "addict"!!! That s..t should be illegal- probably is, he just hasn't been caught yet. PAR hired this lunatic, inept counselor and now he's concocting a fraudulent narrative on this dude I know who does nothing but mind his own business and bust a.. at work! This place is comical! They have to "choreograph" and "create" sh.t to validate their pathetic existence!!! Like I said, guys this inept don't have the credentials to validate them being employed for this kind of place. No way!
It took me 7 and it wasnt a walk in the park. They were rude to me and kind of made me feel smaller than i already was. Very condescending and snapped alot.
If youre a girl there are waaaay better place for you! Careful of the male staff here!
More like jail cells. The food is for sub humans, JAIL FOOD tastes better💯 The detox is a miserable experience, provides a bleak outlook to your future. Depressing, made me cry like a waterfall😢
Bring your cheapest clothes cuz they do have male staff who mess with your undies and personal stuff. Some serious weirdos on male staff!
They DO but unfortunately while your there they DO it not for you but to look at YOUR "crack" in the rear if u know what I mean. Some of these counselors act like they never been with a woman. And some of them here at least, a man too. Careful if you do end up here cuz they got some real pervs roaming the building
Yes, and they also take up valuable, precious chunks of time, time of your life, that you CAN'T GET BACK. Time you could use to work, but they'd rather put you on methadone and get you off one drug n hooked on another. Remember: you keep them employed!
Yes It is as bad as youve come to hear. There is a reason you wont hear boys n girls saying anything bad about the male counselors at acts or dacco or turning point, but you most definitely will here! Try a legit place homie cause what you heard is 100% facts!
Idk but it should be pathetic assisted remedy cause they arent much help really
Dacco or acts is the way to go since you are girl. Do not go to par im telling you. They have counselor praying on and obsessed with young girls forty yr younger than him- stalker type guys. Acts actually care and give you full support and all straight up- no trying to talk to you like they wanna get in your pants like par counselor!
Yes but it is THE WORST! I highly recommend anywhere but this dump. They feed you the worst food, disrespect you AND its like a jail cell!
They'll never close cause they NEED as many addicts as possible to receive their federal funding and remain employed. So answer: never.
Sure send him here- they cant wait. Just know he's coming in bad but is guaranteed to leave far worse off and SERIOUSLY hooked on methadone! They're gunna use him up like a 34th n central. Streetgirl!
I mean they are gunna get you on methadone cause thats what they do, that is their hustle. So you can try another route but it took me years to get off once they got me on. Honestly id try a different treatment place in Tampa.
Dont worry theyll make sure youre highly dosed up and hooked on STRONG METHADONE! In fact, you'll end up an even bigger addict upon entering their realm.
They will ALWAYS help you remain addicted to "something"- remember, your addiction keeps them employed! Good luck✌
I mean they wanna get you dosing asap cause thats their thing- im sure its next day still. Was when i was there.
They're always hard to reach because they seem really preoccupied knowing you and i need them. Idk happy, just my 2 cents. Sorry✌️
Dont go to PAR or it will be the same as dying. You'll leave addicted to methadone.
Ill NEVER repeat those words again!!!! Basura!
umm cause thats what go on here beneath the façade. How did you not know or hear about this kind of stuff beforehand? You didn't ask around???? Sorry to hear this about your sis, but it goes on ALL THE TIME here....
Depending on which program your opting for. Are you referring to detox or Methadone maintenance?
No you don't have to be in withdrawal. Methadone is not an opioid blocker so it won't put you in automatic withdrawal like Suboxone will. They prefer that you are not on anything else when you dose. But as long as you or your insurance pays and you don't fail too many tests past the first one. They'll keep giving it to you.
If you tell the doctor at the health department that you need to get screened for the mate grant, it should get you a few months
Yes
There are definite down sides as with all medication. These would be every bit of opiate or opioid must be gone from your system or it will put you into acute withdrawal. It also blocks dopamine receptors and blocking the release of endorphins, both of the feel good chemicals naturally released by the body. I'm never going to discourage someone from seeking treatment. From what I've seen in people on it, I KNOW that form of treatment is highly unappealing to me. I think it would be responsible for the worst depression ever. Research responses from real people, not testimony from pharma, treatment or biased sites. Hard to do but you can find it. For starters, lookup what dopamine and endorphins do to help the human body, specifically the brain. I go to Par but by what I see, Vivitrol is averagely $1000.00 a dose, so an educated guess tells me no coverage by Medicaid.
Call Operation Par. Or dial 211 and ask for inpatient rehabs that accept insurance. Thats terrible that turning point did that, maybe it was a sign that he wasn't meant to be there, I'm in recovery I do know there are places out there that will help. Par is great, start there and 211. Good luck to you and your family. God Bless
No
It also depends on when they received there last dose of medicine they normally make you wait about 4hours after they give you volume but I believe if they have someone that will pick them up then they don't have to wait the 4 hours I know that's what they did with me
Yes and for Subutex, you would have to be off of it for a few days. It can't be in your system before you take methadone.
