Why would the restrooms be locked up at 10:00 in the morning, when children are playing in the playground and people are taking walks?? That is ridiculous!! Last I knew, I paid my fair share of taxes.

Its because they had a problem with people doing drugs and destroying the bathroom. Since you pay taxes,you do not want your money going into fixing up bathrooms because people reck them and you also do not want you kid walking into a bum shooting up. Sarasota has its dark side even in the most beautiful spots.

I guess they're trying to keep them clean or something else.

Restrooms need to be open. I'm not saying its a bad park. In fact, it's very nice. The point is restrooms need to be open.

The locking up is due to the numerous Faye Grant Sarasota has a major major problem with this and it has left the parks in incredible conditions such that it deters many from coming I have encountered numerous times women living in the bathrooms and much more going on

I obviously do not have the Answer . I spend Alot of Time in the Park & The City Employees Do A Wonderful Job , Alot on their Plate . Yet Your Question is the Only Blemish for One of My AllTime Favorite Parks of All Time ...... I Do Love Payne Park..
