Intense is the best way to describe it. Bring lots of water, there are huge areas with little shade, and rough terrain.
270 miles of trail, 1/3 of it singletrack! Just rode there today - I was either in the granny or on the brakes. They don't do flat there...
Intense. Make sure you are in good shape. Lots of ticks and poison oak. If you can get out into the back of the park there is no place like this.
Very challenging. Get ranger advise on which trails to take before going.. Also if u plan to visit often then buy a map from ranger office. The free one is not accurate
Its pretty good. I would suggest checking out mtb project for some loops. Jackson and dexter was pretty good, lots of climbing. Flat frog to middle ridge was also pretty good. nothing to crazy. Middle ridge was a bit over grown and better for hiking but biking was fine.
I know that at Coe mountain biking is pretty serious, whenever i ride my road bike to it i see lots of cars with mountain bikes on their racks. I also ran into a lady who said she and her friends spend about 4-5 hours there every weekend they generally take leavesly exit so that the ride back is easy. So yeah i would say mountain biking should be pretty awesome there
There are miles of fire roads. Very steep terrain.
Great, huge terrain, can be very hilly
