There are some negative reviews for Castillo's Hillside Winery and the "girl with the blue hair". But we had a very positive experience. The girl with the blue hair happens to be the heir of the property and lives on site. She was very sweet and accommodating (especially with our dog and two small children). The wine was a bit expensive but pretty good in my opinion. Only red wines in this area. Enjoying a bottle on the beautiful property was worth the price 🙂

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but for this place I just can't help it. I was there for a bridal shower, and at first, I thought the property was very beautiful; however, not even a full minute of being there I witnessed a guest getting attitude from an employee about where to park. Bad start. The blue-haired girl has a bad attitude and was even yelling at guests telling them that they didn't "pay enough to be here." Even better, the third wine bottle at my table had a broken cork, so we couldn't even open the bottle. We couldn't find anyone to help open or replace the bottle and we were still charged for it. No part of this was wine tasting at all- all the bottles were corked and we had to pour them ourselves (it didn’t even taste that good). Don't let the pretty scenery fool you. You'll see plenty more reviews from other party guests. It's unfortunate that an event that was supposed to be relaxing and fun turned out stressful.

My first time today visiting Castillo winery...just beautiful grounds..wonderful wine and the daughter sang and played guitar for us. She has a beautiful voice..I could listen to her for hours..I became a member today which proves it was s wonderful experience and the wine is top notched!

Yes. I believe so but the group may be less than 10. You can call to check with them. They are very accommodating
Yes, dogs are welcome on a leash. Plenty of outdoor seating for tasting or just enjoying a bottle!
We always bring our own.
I believe you can picnic in the grassy area behind the tasting room. Just ask for permission
$10 for 5 -6 tastings
