The cleaning solution should only be used in the cleaning cartridge. If you have the SD-501 you remove the filter and replace it with the cleaning cartridge (This is what the cleaning solution does in). Instructions are available on YouTube. If you have a K8 you remove the filter and install a special filter used for the cleaning process. You also remove the electrolyte enhancer tank and replace it with a green cleaning tank which you have added the cleaning powder to and fill it with tap water, install and complete the e-cleaning procedure.
Noo, the the cleaning solution is just to be used removing the filter and put intead the special egg cartridge with that bag. The enhancer solution you need to buy by bottles to prepare extreme acidic water only..
