Ok, so here's the reality. An expungement doesn't mean that it can't be seen by the FBI and DOJ. So, if you apply for a job that does background checks using the FBI or DOJ. They will be able to see it. My suggestion is don't deny the arrests on your applications. Instead admit to them with an explanation. Wait until you're done with all of your criminal matters and then send to the FBI for your criminal record. Thats the only charges that you'll admit to on your applications. Don't lie because the potential employer will see it in the FBI background check.... An Expungement will cost you about $5,000 to the attorney. And the FBI will still have your charges in their system...
If you would like your case expunged you will need to turn in the forms at Long Beach court. Long Beach Public Defenders office can help you fill out the forms for free. However the expungement is $120 for processing.... Expunge only means the case is an dismissal instead of a conviction. It will still show up on your record....
