In the first phase of Face Lift Dentistry® imaging is used to determine the right jaw joint position. This position is then tested using JawTrac®, a removable appliance which is worn part of the day and eventually during the night. Patients often feel relief from pain, and experience relaxation of their strained muscles just by wearing the JawTrac® appliance. Adjustments can be made based on patient feedback. Based on the findings, the patient’s teeth are built to the tested jaw position using “no prep” Venlay® Restorations. The health benefits to an optimized jaw position are an improved airway, better ability to sleep, and less head and neck tension, just to name a few. The cosmetic benefits of using Venlay® Restorations are clearly beyond porcelain veneers as we have a younger jawline, a better profile, and a new shape to our faces. The treatment requires no drilling down of healthy teeth, no surgery, is safe and predictable and is typically completed in about 4 weeks.
Thank you for your kind response, which I only just saw! I have a somewhat better idea of what you do now. It still sounds like you add to the n thickness of the teeth, but I understand that you don't destroy the healthy tooth underneath, which is a good thing. I believe you about the possible benefits of an improved bite and jaw alignment. I do feel better informed now about making this kind of decision, though not competely (I'll research more.) I see the advantages, though. Thank you for your time and care.
