They start at 3 AM and approximately every hour.
I've lived here since 1998, they only make those noises early in the morning and the reason is because they're afraid that somebody might be on the tracks in the dark they don't blow the whistle all day long. Metrolink that's the work train so people are going and coming from work you will hear the horn blow when it comes up to the station that's just to make sure people aren't on the tracks usually they stop doing that around 9 O'clock a.m., they do begin again around 5pm and usually stop by 6.30pm. My home is exactly 300 feet away from the tracks so it goes right past my house very close.my roommate sleeps with earplugs but he says sometimes he can still hear it in the mornings if you're very noise sensitive you might want to reconsider but most of us get used to it and we don't even hear it anymore. the problem with a mobile home park is the houses are so close so if somebody is doing some work in their house or hammering or stuff like that it's going to annoy you. Good luck.
Thanks for the info. I don't mind neighbors at all, I currently live in a condo with 160 units. Used to live near the Burbank airport. I just get home from work after midnight and a few times a week not until after 2 am. and occasionally have to be up again at 8am so a train going off every hour starting at 3am could be difficult. I understand the importance of their job too but I have to look at what's going to work long term.
I'm sure you can check the train schedule for the Chatsworth Station and it should answer your questions
I honestly dont know but im pretty sure its like in the afternoon and at night sonetimes
