My lawyer who came to my hearing didn't have no medical records of my case at all, he was asking me for my doctor's papers, and what medication I was on...when it was clear I athorized and sigjned for my paper work to be released, the judge said I wasn't on meds, which I am, he said I denied treatment, which I didn't on steroids twice and heavy pain killers for my arthritis, and brutits, he said his decision was based on there doctors and lawyers, not mine, he didn't speak up for me not once at my hearing ..nore did he cross examine any of the doctor's, regarding my case, he didn't put no effort in winning my case
If you do not get the documentation from your doctors, and do not have a letter from your doctors stating your inabilities to work, you could loose. But the lawyers will also know what documentation you will need. Just be active in what is being given to the lawyer so you can know what is being presented to SSI. I am trusting these lawyers, and we stay active making sure the lawyers get the latest updates on medications, hospital visits, Doctor updates, etc. Our lawyers can only work with what they are given, we have to be sure they get what is needed.
