It’s literally only the cable part...the WiFi works but the security system tends to loose connection sometimes

If you're having issues with your service I suggest that you check out your equipment and see how old it is. Make sure all the drivers are up to date sometimes spotty service is an issue with not taking care of your hardware not maintenancing it correctly. Anytime I have an issue with loss of service or something happens locally and my service goes down. They always credit for the loss of service for the day or however long. I put my network through serious stress with multiple devices streaming 4K videos and video games online.

I never had one issue with my internet or tv. Maybe its your location. Dead spots. I just went through Tennesee and the whole state was nothing but buffering.
