Greyhound stresses that riding their buses is the same, security-wise, as flying in an airplane. They say all passengers must have ID. They never ask for ID. But one day you might meet the odd driver or security guard, and he or she may out of the blue make a big deal about the ID. Greyhound, especially at night, tends to hire private security to search and harass passengers in it's stations.
