This is not a park. It's a nesting place for many birds. Alligators, bees are amongst others. There's a wooden bridge to walk around and watch. Yes, kids friendly. Binoculars comes in handy.
It's not for all children and it's not for all adults. If your children love nature and are patient, understanding. If they would rather be playing game boy, texting, on their cell phone than this is not the place for them. Bird watchers go there to watch birds. Special moments sometimes require quite and patience.
You should take care with children. This nature preserve is beautiful but could be potentially dangerous for anyone. The workers make regular walks around and the boardwalk is secure with railings and overall structure seems intact and in good condition. Anyone should be catious while out there though that being said i wouldnt neccessarily exclude bringing children they may enjoy the experience as much as an adult would.
It is kid friendly, walking around enjoying nature. Not meant for kids to run and yell on the walkways though.

The park is a boardwalk with wetlands on either side. Its great if they dont mind walking or being pushed in a stroller.
