As far as I know of it's not because of the iguanas but because of the hurricane. Also the cold weather. But I could be wrong
Yes. We were there last year and saw a fat one crash down from breaking a branch. They do feed on bird eggs and fish. They need to be hunted.
I only saw 1 iguana.
I have not been there in a few months before the one I'm reading here doesn't sound too good
We saw few iguanas, mostly turtles and two alligators sunning themselves.
Yes! I was there a few weeks ago and there were a lot fewer bird nests on the islands. I saw iguanas crawling in the island trees. I have never seen so many iguanas before, and so few birds. The city needs to do something immediately.
Yes, they're everywhere and very invasive; while I have personally seen them attempt abatement, such efforts are minimal and have been ineffective.
There were a few on Sunday 01-21-18 when I was there but they were mostly hanging around, not doing much of anything.
The iguanas are herbivores and do not eat the bird eggs or other animals. Raccoons will eat bird eggs, though.
