Tickets are $22.95 per adult. If you want , you can buy tickets online, but also you can buy them on the main entrance when you get there. If you like to walk, that's the best way to enjoy the Zoo. Also you can rent a bicycle once you are inside, but in my opinion, if you walk, you will have a better experience.
Its about 25 per person with tax. They do have a package with mono rail and other stuff inclusive. Best is to buy it at the counter. For members its cheaper.
You can purchase all tickets at the gate. Groupon sometimes has discounts for the zoo. Enjoy
I purchased my tickets at the zoo I think I paid about $25 bucks a person and then theirs another pass that cost more... we were just checking out before we went to the airport.

From what I see on the website, for adults it is $22.95 and for children it is $18.95. And no, you don't need to buy tickets before.
Tickets are 16 for adults, you don't need to buy ahead.
