There's a deal going on for the summer. You can purchase a pass that you can use for Zoo Miami and 3 other local attractions fir around $50 a person. Its good for unlimited visits to all 4 thru September 30th.
In my opinion it was not very expensive. There is a lot to see and very entertaining for a whole day. Worth the money.
Yes it is expense from my POV. Then it comes down to your love for animals. I feel now that I could have used that money is something else and enjoyed more. Most of the animals are asleep all the time and neither they get happy to see us, pun intended. You will end up paying for crocodile ride and giraffe feeding and plus eating snacks at cafeteria, so it will cost you more than $50 per person. Define expensive...lol. For the experience it's not bad. Everything is ala carte though, so going more than once per season would get expensive. But the exhibits are well maintained.
