The loathsome petting-zoo industry forces mother animals to churn out cubs, who are torn away from them soon after birth. The petting zoos charge the public to hold or take photos with the cubs, who are kept in cages and are often denied basic, vital care. When the cubs get too big and dangerous, they can end up caged for life in abusive roadside zoos, circuses, or backyards. Some of them are killed in canned hunts, while others are forced to breed more cubs, and the vicious cycle continues.
