Try to go to El Cerito DMV. It's a lot faster there
I lost my pink slip & all i have to a vehicle that a friends daughter needs and i gave it to her as a gift because the tags had just expired. So as a last owner i gave her the old registration and rote a release of liability with all vehicle information sighned and dateed with it saying that i was to be released on any type of $ occured buy or with this vehicle wouldnt per the responsible person on that date & we both sighned it.now will dmv except this paper as a legal paper to releaseme of all person of being responsible for anythingon this vehiclei didnt get a answer on my question
Fill out a replacement form, pay $27 and they will issue you a temporary one looking almost like a permit, in about 7 to 10 days, you will get your original in the mail.
