They use a clam shell type grill at McDonald's. It is normally cooked each side for about 90 to 120 seconds if I recall right. Sounds like the pattie was pulled without the second half of the cook process being done. Take it back and get it replaced but take a picture and send it to corporate or owner. They need that to make things better but also because they never want a customer to have or receive that kind of product. Hope that helps. Oh and im not an employee of McDonald's but I was a number of years ago in Florida hence the knowledge lol.

Depends, if you order it the way it is, they grab what is cooked and under a heat lamp, but if you order something say without pickles, they cook it fresh
