Yes, but depends on the time for the court date. I have plans to put one person to court.

Not necessarily. Depending on the reason for the surrender. Too many variables involved to give you an accurate answer. Best bet if you don't want to spend time in jail: surrender early to midweek in the morning. Call the police station, and the clerk of courts and tell them you plan on surrendering at the courthouse that morning. That way you can be put on the docket to see the judge immediately. If it's not a serious offense you should be released on personal recognizance. You should never really turn yourself into the police directly unless you have an attorney present. Go to the court house because ultimately that is where you will end up to see the judge.
