Can I have picnics up on the hill area near the fort or castle? I wanted it there because it has a nice view of the sea, but I have around 10 people and I’m not sure if I need a permit to have a picnic around there.

Yes you can. Some spots have little cement squares thaf you may use for a grill. Good luck have fun.
