Sullivan's is open, for awesome food. There are paved paths and walkways, great views, and a pretty awesome playground. The castle or Fort Independence is closed right now till Summer. But you can still walk all the way around it. And around the water. It's great for walking jogging rollerblading and biking

U can take a stroller. There is a beach and playground have fun on p.s. try the best hot dogs around....

The free tours have not started yet for the inside of the building I believe. The rest of the Island is open great food and kids love the water and watching everything going on.
Sullivan's is open, no fort tours yet. There are plenty of stroller friendly paths around the island and Pleasure Bay.
By all means take a stroller as a Prius googler said the fort is currently closed until mid-summer but there are great pets and they are paved for walking however if you do choose to go to Sullivan's for food be prepared to stand in line and on the weekends and great weather be prepared to spend a long time in line and with two children it can seem like an eternity in line
Sullivan's is open. I don't know about chores, but you can walk around the area all day. It's definitely a place for family and strollers. Great View, great food, go there on a nice day though. It's right on the water, so if it's a little cold bring a jacket
Great place for stroller, great place to walk, run, etc. People even go fishing there. There is a playground for the kids, picnic area and beach. Enjoy!!!
Great family place to visit and picnic, if you want to buy your lunch at Sullivan's try the clams they are melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Bring a pole and fish if you want, as well as sit in the sand and catch the rays. There is a sailing club there take some lessons.

There are some great places to picnic, fly kites, or just relax. Bring a blanket, eat lunch at Sully's!
