Snow tires should never be installed just on the fronts. Tires with the best traction should be on the rear regardless of driving wheels. Helps with braking and keeps the rear from coming around on you. Kudos to walmart foe trying to keep you safe.
You should have snow tires by the beginning of fall. This way the wait will not be so long. But you can use all season radials tires to be on safe side.
Depends, if it's like my old taurus you can do good tires to the front with Front Disk / Rear Drum. But even then it does change hamdling and you have to know what you are doing.
I have all season tires on my car. But I found that if you get snow tires it was best to take them off in the Spring because they wear down and are not cost effective.
Sorry, new up here, no knowledge of using snow tires
