Searching dog policies with LA buses, it is a mix depending on which line you board. Some require hard-sided animal carriers, some only allow service animals, some require that your pet carrier must be able to fit under your seat or on your lap, some require a separate fee for your carrier. There is absolutely no pet policy systemwide. My best advice is check online or call your specific carrier, as they are all different. If you are traveling Amtrak, pets under 20 lbs are allowed for a fee of $25.00, up to 7 hours. Restrictions may apply.
