It's free they'll hand you the scan tool and you have to plug it in then turn your key to the on position, it will check for codes and when it says DONE, unplug it and return it to the AutoZone employee. They'll ask you for your mileage and then the computer will bring up what codes it is and what solution to fix the problem.
