My cat stayed in a tree for FIVE days until we scared it trying to get to him. He was in an Italian Cypress with limbs growing straight up so my nephew put on tree cleats and started the chain saw to get to him. He sailed out of the tree. He was so dehydrated he didn’t eat the first couple days. I was told cats can’t retract their claws to go ‘down.’ It was so sad each evening when I had to give up coaxing him down...
Thank you everyone im hoping she will be gone by morning
Stay away and try to maintain quiet near the tree if possible. Hopefully it's the backyard. Take dogs on leash to potty out front until morning if it's a backyard tree. She can weather a night in the tree, but a smart cat STAYS till they lights go out and the sounds of sleep set in / no lights / activity. Different cats react differently to different activities. If it's there in the morning time to call it in as INJURED cat in tree. Because it's vey probably it pulled, damaged a limb in the climb and actually cannot get down. Unless it's busy street side tree with pedestrians, cars, loud noises all night.
Wait it out ..if not try cat nip or food
When she get hungry she will come down. Make sure the. dogs are gone if she see them she will not come down. Also try calling the fire department they may help
