It's a great place for hiking, biking, picnics, and sports like volleyball and kids playgrounds as well. I've been visiting that park for decades. The hiking is on flat ground or challenge you uphill. It is very old where trains used to go all the way to the Visitor Center. They have a nature center for students and curious onlookers. They have plenty of parking all around. You cannot see all the sites in one day. You do have to pay for parking. It is a family treat!! I used to run the hills being a soccer player. It's the fastest way to get in shape. Biking is a thrill and has lots of trails. If you walk, run or bike all the way to Eagle Rock then you are in for a sight to see all the way around the valley.
A mix of roads, relaxed paved/gravel trails, moderate dirt trails, some accessible on bike or even horse, picnic areas with grills, playgrounds, a small nature center and aviary, and old mineral springs. Something for everyone
Popular with walkers, cyclists and for a picnic Hiking trails available and an Access road for vehicles. Pleasant place to spend a couple of hours in the sun.
