Depends on how quickly the snow melts. Last storm, chains were required after baldy lodge.
If your suv AWD,don’t need chains
I would take some just in case. Also it's going to be very crowded. The last snow was packed with people trying to get up to the lodge they closed the road because to many people ! So if you plan on going plan on getting up there by 8:00 a.m. if you want a parking space. My sister lives 30 minutes from Mount baldy she says go very early. Good luck !
