Call in the a.m. when the recording come on press a volley of 0000. As long as you hear a recording keep pushing zero till it say a person will answer next.

Thank you everyone, the report was filed the same day online.. I received email updates but those have ceased. I have called, with no luck.
If you haven't already please make sure that you fill out and submit the lost item report that's on the website. This has to be done no matter what. This is an extremely busy department and it's almost impossible to contact them by phone. Not even in park employees can get through to them via telephone. Also, if you do call them you'll need to leave a detailed message with a call back number. Even then, the most reliable way to get any response is via the website. Please realize that this department receives thousands of lost item reports a year and it may take a while for them to cantact you. But they will contact you.
You have to file a claim on line with what is missing then they will call you.
Ummmm....its a recording that leads to the website..need a real person.
