The Lawrence Re-Cyclery would be worth a try for this question. I remember, at one time, they rented bikes out.
Not that I know of but, if you can test ride bikes as much as you would like. I'm not sure of any bike rental services in Lawrence but KU had a bike thing kinda like Bird Scooters. I hope you find a rental service!
