Just moved from Ohio - need to register my car in California, already have California DL and Auto Insurance -- what else do I need to do for the car to get registration and plates and how can AAA help?

Probably somg certificate. I sure would first start with a membership no matter what. It offers roadside assistance

Bring in the title, the Ohio registration, get a smog and bring the car to the aaa office. They will help you transfer it to California, get you current registration and ca plates. You have to be a AAA member though and bring cash or check for any fees.

Vehicle registration can be done at the AAA club office. It's a lot simpler and time saver than going to DMV to register your car. Be sure to check online for the documents that need to be produced for the registration
