I went to this restaurant over the weekend and it was wonderful food was great service was great! But I had a old gift card that I never have used for this restaurant and was not able to use it in their system cannot look up gift cards!

In CA, it is law that first cards do not expire, or lose balance.

I use my gift cards immediately for the reasons alot of places do not honor when they r old, they go out of business, move and stop honoring.

I recommend you that every time you want to use an old gift card anywhere, you should check if that place still honored. Some gift cards have expiration date, another case, the place where you want to use your gift card, could had change policies or their systems in their computers. Or can be that they are not using gift cards anymore. Every time I receive a gift card, I try to use it as soon is possible, for the reasons I mentioned before.
