I agree with Christina. It isn't long, but you can stay for awhile. The only thing you have to contend with is people trying to get in for their "turn" to watch. We stayed for about an hour. You can go upstairs and view the entire display much closer, although you have to stand.
It lasts about half an hour. I stayed for two sessions because I missed the first half on the first rotation. I'm assuming you can stay as long as you like, since no one said anything when I stayed for the next one.
